Editor's Note: This satirical event announcement was part of Relativity's April Fool's Day 2019 celebration. We won't see you on sunny beaches, but we do hope to see you in Chicago this fall.
In the tight-knit e-discovery industry, we believe there’s nothing more important than building and maintaining community—bringing folks together to share ideas, learn from one another, and ultimately grow in their careers. That’s always been our mission for Relativity Fest, even as we approach our tenth annual show this October.
But how do you keep an event fresh after a decade, and inspire both long-time legal and IT professionals alongside a new generation of legal innovators? More importantly, what do you do when you’ve already used all of Chicago’s best museums for networking events?
Welcome to Relativity Fest Tropics. We realized we had an opportunity to reimagine what it means to attend an e-discovery conference and provide attendees not only a meaningful educational experience, but a chance to do it in one of the most unforgettable locations in the world.
To set the stage: imagine hands-on exercises, judicial panels, demos of the greatest innovations coming out of our developer community, 150+ sessions, and workshops for Relativity’s latest enhancements, all on a private island once owned by Pablo Escobar.
And that’s just the start. You wouldn’t get on a plane and fly to an undisclosed location if you couldn’t take advantage of it. For our more adventurous attendees, our new “Active Learning” pass gets you all the educational opportunities of Relativity Fest packaged with excursions like an open ocean dolphin swim or two-tank reef dive. Upgrade to an “End-to-End” package for a beachside villa and cabana package.
Ready to join? We are too. Registration opens soon, and we’ll keep you appraised of all the happenings on Instagram with #FestTropics.
