As a Lead QA Engineer on the Release Management team your primary mission will be to assure the quality of Relativity's current and future software products.  You will contribute to a motivating Agile environment that empowers teams and individuals to engineer QA efficiencies in practice, through process, and with effective tools/techniques. You will lead a team of testers to ensure test quality across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and removing risks to quality for Relativity's software products
  • Contributing to a Scrum team that solves complex challenges and builds working software
  • Raising the collective QA and Development knowledgebase of a product development team
  • Providing functional and QA expertise through instruction of team members on how to test our software
  • Identifying and resolving software inconsistencies, ambiguities and defects during the design and implementation phase of software building
  • May be responsible or designing, coding, and documenting automated test cases within a defined framework to assure the quality of a functional domain and translating existing manual regression test cases into automated tests
  • Integrating automated test cases in a continuous integration process
  • Defining improved standards and practices for writing software to test software
  • Carrying out root cause analysis on defects to ensure fixes are happening in the right way
  • Ensuring proper communication on risks to quality
  • Improving and adhering to standard operating procedures and the collection of measures put in place to ensure consistency and improvement in the way we test software
  • Contributing to the planning process to establish tasks and forecasts for work to be performed
  • Asking the right questions, in the right way, at the right time to reduce the introduction of quality risk
  • Being an ambassador for Agile QA by practicing principles such as TDD, ATDD and alike

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Quality Assurance discipline
  • Excellent problem solving skills, independent thinking
  • Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
  • Ability to contribute to an Agile environment that instills accountability
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on experience with the latest QA technologies related to their feature set or domain
  • Preferable experience with software testing during the build and release phase

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of providing Software Quality Assurance for commercial-grade systems
  • 5+ years of experience in writing automated tests
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or related
  • Excellent knowledge of testing medium to large software systems
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Agile development methodology
  • Experience in working with the .NET based applications will be a plus
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
