We are leading the industry to Cloud, and on the way expanding our core businesses and accelerating our growth in adjacent markets. This transformation to SaaS creates new challenges and opportunities for our teams and our customers – the Strategy & Business Operations team is at the forefront of this change. The Relativity Strategy & Business Operations Team is responsible for driving our long-term strategy, owns our execution framework, and works on our most critical strategic and operational challenges.
As the Strategy Lead you will be an extension of the VP of Strategy & Business Operations and will work across the organization on our most critical companywide strategic questions and projects. You will interact on a regular basis with members of the Executive Team, the Board of Directors, c-level customer stakeholders, and the Extended Leadership team.
Through your work developing and executing on company-wide strategies, you will be exposed to all aspects of the business by working closely with the Executive Team. You will also be involved in business development activities with some of our most important clients, prospects, and partners. This role will stretch you, you will manage multiple projects at the same time, working autonomously with the Executive Team across Strategy, Customer, Product, Financial and People areas.
The Candidate who will succeed in this Role:
o Is comfortable independently leading in a high growth and often ambiguous environment
o Has experience driving growth strategy for mid-size and large organizations
o Is a problem solver with “nose for value” and strategic mindset
o Is organized and experienced in leading large cross functional project teams that may consist of executives and leaders from across the company, other Strategy associates, and team members from FP&A, Marketing, Sales, Operations, or Product Team
o Is extremely analytical, curious and data driven
o Has a proven track record of anticipating needs and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
o Has an executive presence and can independently develop and manage executive relationships
o Is self-motivated, with initiative and entrepreneurial spirit
Lead efforts to develop our company-wide business strategy and keep it evergreen:
o Lead efforts to develop and keep evergreen a long-term business strategy for our core markets
o Lead efforts to develop growth plans for areas outside of our core markets (adjacencies strategy, international growth, etc)
o Ensure that both strategies are well understood across the organization and in some cases externally – lead the communication, including developing materials, working with the leadership team, presenting to small groups and customers, etc.
o Work with the Biz Ops team to ensure that key tenets flow from the company strategy to our product, GTM, and operations strategy
o Work with the Biz Ops team to ensure that the strategy gets translated to execution across the organization
Own Competitive Intelligence: Develop an evergreen competitive intelligence, drive insights and use it to influence priorities for our Product, Operations and Sales teams.
Nurture relationships and prepare materials for Investors and Advisory Board
Lead or Partner with the organization on Special Projects. Examples include:
o Partner with Finance and Product teams to lead M&A and JV efforts as needed
o Drive organizational redesigns
o Partner with the Customer & Product Teams to drive business development efforts for some of our largest customers, partners, and prospects
o Lead ad hoc Strategic Projects
Manage other leaders and indirect resources across the company:
o Indirectly manage other senior leaders to ensure follow through and high quality of deliverables on special projects
Indirectly manage other members of the Strategy & Biz Ops team on project by project basis
- 5yrs+ of experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Operational OR Strategic Leadership Roles with experience in designing and implementing growth strategy
- Experience in indirectly managing senior leaders across the organization, and in managing project teams of high performing resources (directly and indirectly)
- Executive presence and strong communication skills
- Ability to independently multi-task, efficiently prioritize tasks, and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong work ethic and integrity to handle confidential and sensitive information
