Managing Producer

As a managing producer, you will develop and deliver stories that amplify Relativity’s brand in three primary ways: elevating awareness of our corporate brand, celebrating our extensive community of users, and telling the story of Relativity’s people and products. You’ll set the vision for your team of video and motion graphics designers to bring our mission, vision, values, and work to life. You’ll work on multi-channel vehicles from conception to execution,including editorial videos, podcasts, case studies, social media, blog posts, and in-person experiences. You may also act as the showrunner for ongoing series. 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced project manager, ready to assemble teams from across the business and guide them as they carry out projects. You’ll be responsible for securing approvals, managing budget, keeping projects on deadline, and keeping teams focused and successful. This role also acts as a role model of our core values and demonstrates creative excellence for colleagues. 

Your Role In Action

  • Lead our in-house team 
  • Oversee the work priorities, plans, and quality for our video, audio, and motion graphics disciplines. 
  • Build strong relationships with other creatives on the brand team (events, web, art & copy, strategy). 
  • Consult with marketing leadership to develop media assets that further the company’s goals.  

  • To tell some compelling stories 
  • Develop interesting story and series ideas, serve as the showrunner on greenlighted projects.  
  • Articulate the approach and goals for individual stories and larger series. Ensure each story aligns to our company’s priorities and goals. 
  • Interview in a journalistic spirit to tell balanced, thoughtful stories that reveal the rich, varied, and diverse backgrounds of the Relativity community of partners, customers, users, and employees. 
  • Source and develop pieces as needed for events, websites, social, and our blog.  
  • Effectively assemble and lead production teams, articulate value to stakeholders, negotiate, and critique work to the benefit of the project. 
  • Stay on top of current events and be familiar with trends in the legal technology space to craft relevant, effective messages.

  • Develop a vision for projects or brand programs and keep project teams aligned and engaged. 
  • Consult and draft creative briefs, recruit internal and external stakeholders, source contractors, set scopes and timelines, communicate objectives, and oversee budgets.  
  • Research topics thoroughly. Use your learnings to lead workshops, pitches, table reads, rehearsals, the shoot and post. 
  • Anticipate project risks or impediments and provide clear, proactive, actionable solutions. 
  • Facilitate our review/approval process across deliverables and stakeholders. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to create effective promotional strategies covering publication, duration, and measurement of work. 
  • Iterate and document processes to ensure improvements to efficiency and agility. 
  • Evaluate and communicate project performance. Provide recommended courses of action to stakeholders.

Your Skills

  • 3-6 years’ experience in a production or creative development role 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills 
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail in the creation and iteration of work product 
  • Ability to gather and streamline feedback and effectively apply it 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-drive, team environment with quickly shifting priorities
