From Vision to Reality: Inside Relativity's Poland Office

From Vision to Reality: Inside Relativity's Poland Office Icon - Relativity Blog

When Relativity’s founder, Andrew Sieja, was a kid, he visited Poland each summer. During his time there, he fell in love with the region, culture, and people who made up his family heritage. It was in Poland that Sieja found his “entrepreneurial hustle”—which, accompanied by his computer programming skills, laid the bricks for Relativity. It was always a dream of his to establish an office in Poland.

That dream became a reality in 2015 when Relativity opened its Krakow office. With only 20 employees, Andrew and the Poland team met to calibrate the future of the office, asking questions like: “What would make this place great?” They established that their driving goal, put simply, was to become a technology and innovation leader in the region. On top of that, the Poland office would be an engineering co-headquarters for Relativity, employing the best team members to get their hands on interesting, career-defining engineering projects.

Fast forward to today and the team is doing just that.

Relativity’s Poland team has grown significantly, with just over 500 employees throughout Poland working on some of our platform’s most interesting and challenging projects. But the team is more than just hardworking. This group of individuals has created a lively, dynamic ecosystem where personalities of all kinds can connect and grow. Frankly? They’re thriving.

But don’t just take it from us; take it right from the heart of Krakow.

Our Tech Heroes in Poland

With a team filled to the brim with talent, Andrew’s dream of a flourishing office in Poland has since taken flight. No day in the Kraków office is an average one. More than 500 individuals across several departments tackle some of the most exciting projects in the legal data and technology industry, drive product innovation, and push Relativity forward. The Poland team’s work spans genres like engineering, applied science, and even new product and AI innovations.

But our Kraków team is so much more than the work they do.

With over 12 nationalities and 20 different languages represented, this diverse group is a tapestry of backgrounds and perspectives, tackling challenges from all angles.

And while the diversity of this team helps it shine, we’d be remiss not to highlight the passions that unify them. Many of our team members love to participate in events such as running, cycling, and soccer—even challenging each other to reach their best cycling times. There’s also an emphasis on overall wellbeing through our community resource group, RelMind, which promotes best practices for mental health, and the Gallup CliftonStrengths community which helps individuals discover and apply their unique talents to foster personal growth and team collaboration.

Good Work Takes Hard Work—And Great Tech

It’s not just the work itself that’s cutting-edge. The Kraków team has been known to play around with new tools and leverage advanced technologies to enhance their data analysis, classification, and overall efficiency. Team members are constantly looking for ways to solve issues faster, and they’re using the newest tech to get them there.

While we can’t take credit for the level of talent among this group, professional development is a cornerstone of the culture in our Poland office. We truly believe that we have the next generation of legal data and technology in our office—and it’s our job to nurture them! Employees are empowered to own projects and processes from beginning to end, setting them up for success with top technology resources. This autonomy fosters an extra sense of satisfaction among our team as we contribute to the solutions that shape the future of legal data.

The Kraków office also offers catered learning opportunities and resources, in addition to making time for connective office events like team building activities, holiday celebrations, and groups like Poland Business Run.

Spotlight on Our Poland Team

Our commitment to creating a growth environment is most evident through the success stories of our employees. Meet some of our team and hear how life at Relativity has helped them launch and shape their careers.

Gabriela Lesiak started out as desktop support, but knowing she had big dreams for her future, her manager suggested she enroll in the mentoring program and learn from an advanced engineer. She jumped on the opportunity and with the guidance and support of those mentors, transitioned to a new role that aligned with her strengths and career aspirations. As Gabriela shares, the team environment at Relativity is “giving opportunities that people deserve.”

Filip Bardzinski is an application specialist on the Poland team. He shared with us how his time in the Poland office is both fulfilling and inspiring: “You get to live out all that you want from a job. You get the challenge, the chatter, the coffee. Ultimately, it’s not the amenities, but the atmosphere. Being myself is embraced. There’s always a space for me to be the person that I am.”

Piotr Stefaniak, who runs operations in Poland, believes that now is a great time to join Relativity for multiple reasons: “First of all, Relativity defined the market and we are close to redefining it again. You can be a part of it. In addition, we are working on very interesting topics like generative AI that soon will change the whole world.”

Giving Back to the Poland Community

While there’s an immense focus on career development and empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential, the Kraków office also places a large emphasis on the greater community in Poland. Through our employee-nominated Impact Grants program, we turn individual passions into collective action—supporting schools, orphanages, and nonprofit organizations that our teams care deeply about. These grants have helped fund computer equipment, educational resources, and learning opportunities for younger generations, ensuring technology and knowledge reach those who need them most.

And it doesn’t stop there. Inspired by the difference these grassroots efforts are making, the Poland team is laying the groundwork for broader social impact initiatives. With a focus on the STEM community, these upcoming programs aim to drive lasting, systemic change and open even more doors for future innovators.

From personal growth to career development to social impact, working in our Poland office is so much more than just a job—it’s an opportunity.
