This is a place where everyone belongs
Our Workplace
Accessible for Everyone
Relativity is actively working to incorporate more accessibility features — in our office, products, and community. This year, we invested in tangible changes and took big steps towards our goal of helping every individual succeed.
Our Chicago Office
When renovating our headquarters in 2024, we initiated in-depth discussions to better understand what workplace improvements would help all employees thrive. We also consulted our AccessAbility CRG for their expertise on the subject. As a result of these conversations, the new Relativity office space features:
-
Smooth concrete floors with limited transitions to ensure easy access
-
Single-occupancy, gender-neutral and accessible restrooms on each floor
-
Highly adjustable chairs to accommodate mobility and pain issues
-
Sound dampening materials to help employees who are hard of hearing or deaf
-
Private prayer, nursing, and wellness rooms
Our Products
We added accessibility enhancements to RelativityOne, including HTML tags for screen readers, keyboard shortcuts, and more accessible fonts. We tested each change and will continue to invest in and advance product accessibility.

Creating a culture of care
We’re committed to providing thoughtful support for the members of our community — including resources for their mental, physical, and financial well-being.
In an effort to see every Relativian thrive, we hosted a wide variety of wellness initiatives this year:
- An infertility support session with RelWoW
- Mental Health Day activities and virtual meditations with RelMind
- An LGBTQ+ estate planning meeting with RelPride
- A session on creating generational wealth with BRel
Where Community Resource Groups Are Making an Impact
Open to all employees, our CRGs are designed to foster understanding and appreciation for experiences different from our own. Through authentic connection and shared learning, we foster a culture where inclusion isn't just encouraged — it's lived.
Honoring African Americans and the arts with BRel
Our Black@Relativity (BRel) CRG held an in-person and virtual Black History Month museum experience to showcase the powerful contributions of Black artists across visual arts, film, music, and literature.
Celebration all year round with RelAsians
RelAsians kicked off the year with an unforgettable Lunar New Year celebration, featuring a performance by a Chinese multi-instrumentalist. In the fall, they brought the vibrant spirit of Bollywood to Chicago, hosting a Diwali celebration that had Relativians eager to dance and celebrate.

Brewing up connection with Rel-L.I.T.
In addition to being recognized as the 2024 ERG of the year from Latinas in Tech, Relativity’s Latinos in Tech (Rel-L.I.T.) hosted quarterly Cafecitos, an interview series featuring Hispanic/Latino guest speakers from organizations like Latinas in Tech Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
Bringing healing with RelVets
RelVets has been steadfast in its commitment to improving mental health and preventing suicide within the veteran community. By offering practical resources, connecting individuals to professional counseling, and fostering peer support networks, RelVets empowers veterans to find hope and healing.
Having conversations that matter with RelWoW
2024 marked the fifth anniversary for RelWoW’s Mentorship Circles, bringing together a cohort of 32 employees from across the company. This program continues to empower connection, career growth, and belonging through courageous and vulnerable conversations.

Championing inclusion with RelPride
RelPride helped to shape the design of our new Chicago office by advocating for gender-inclusive signage and critical menstrual health products.
The group also delivered impactful events, including a hybrid social capital-building session, a CliftonStrengths workshop, and a Queer Quiz Bowl. During Pride Month, RelPride directed their $3,000 Impact Grant to Howard Brown Health.
Setting statuses and boundaries with RelMind
RelMind developed a new status system on Slack to better support mental health and work-life balance. By using pre-defined, color-coded emojis to indicate their availability, employees can set clearer expectations and manage communications during busy times — or when they simply need a moment to recharge.
Our Workforce
Investing in Our CRG Co-Chairs
Throughout 2024, we invested in our CRG co-chairs with our Co-Chair Leadership Development program, an initiative that gives these individuals the tools to develop their team collaboration and communication skills. Each co-chair attended leadership sessions on topics like inclusive communication, navigating career paths, and public presentations and engaged in a CliftonStrengths assessment to unlock their fullest potential.
The Inaugural Co-Chair Summit
In October, Relativity’s global leadership team gathered in Chicago for two days of learning and strategizing with our CRG leaders. The executives learned how each CRG positively impacts Relativity’s culture and got a preview into what’s planned for the future.
The group dug deeper into conversations around leadership and belonging and also attended a dumpling-making class for some good old-fashioned team building.

Fostering Opportunities in Engineering
The Future Women Leaders in Engineering Program is a year-long program designed to empower senior and lead engineers with the tools, skills, and knowledge to excel as leaders within Relativity and beyond. In 2024, the program included 16 talented employees from across the US, Canada, and Poland.
"I feel fortunate to have been part of this program — it’s truly impacted how I approach complex problems, collaborate with managers and teammates, and build resilience both technically and mentally."

Our Communities
Continuing the fight for justice
We believe that discovering the truth is fundamental to the creation of a more just world. Each and every year, Justice for Change takes us ardently toward that mission by offering our technology, free of charge, to organizations doing legal work on behalf of social and racial justice.
At the end of 2024, we had more than 90 organizations in the program, managing nearly 200 legal matters and 7.3 million documents.
In September, Relativity underscored its commitment to providing the best technology and support for organizations pursuing racial or social justice by making Relativity aiR for Review and Translate in RelativityOne available to Justice for Change participants. Adding these two generative AI-powered solutions furthers participants' ability to access justice and advance equity. Plus, qualifying Justice for Change cases were made eligible for points toward earning the Nonprofit Competency achievement in the Relativity Partner Program.
The Justice for Change program received the following awards in 2024:

The Bronze Anthem Award for Human & Civil Rights Partnership or Collaboration; Product, Innovation, or Service Categories

Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law: Enabling Access to Justice
Our annual user conference, Relativity Fest, attracts a wide variety of legal data and technology professionals from different backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. We prioritize creating an inclusive, safe, and accessible event.
Elevating conversations: community and culture at Relativity Fest
In 2024, the Community and Culture track at Relativity Fest Chicago hosted Threading Uniqueness: Diverse Paths to Legal Data Intelligence Success, where legal data professionals highlighted the various paths that led them to the industry and the lessons they learned along the way. Also, Stellar Women, our vibrant community for women in technology, presented a session on vulnerability in leadership.
Celebrating the changemakers advancing inclusion
For the sixth year, the Innovation Award for Inclusion honored changemakers driving meaningful progress — from championing workplace equity to expanding opportunities for underrepresented groups. Interest continues to grow, with 17 nominations in 2024 marking a three-year high.
Shaping the next generation of legal pros
We welcomed back students and staff from Relativity’s CPS Technology Grantee school, Corliss Early College STEM, to attend Relativity Fest 2024. Led by a Relativian “Fest Friend,” students spent the day meeting new people, attending sessions, and experiencing the buzz and excitement of Fest.

Dancing through Fest
Relativity Fest is for learning, networking, and .... salsa dancing! In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Rel-L.I.T. hosted Fest’s first-ever Latin dance class, where attendees got to groove to the merengue, bachata, and salsa. We loved seeing so many legal professionals let loose.
Lunch table stories of pro bono in action
At Relativity Fest London, we hosted the first Justice for Change Lunch n' Learn which featured which featured Justice for Change pro bono recipient Mnemonic and Relativity partner FRP Advisory. Mnemonic shared how their participation in the program and work with FRP Advisory enabled them to investigate human rights violations and international crime, and easily search and retrieve files related to their investigation.

Giving with purpose
Starting on Giving Tuesday, Relativity matched all donations and volunteer hours at 200% for a week. We also announced a flash match of 300% for three hours. In total, for the Giving Tuesday campaign alone, we were able to donate $122,235 to causes close to our employees' hearts.
Over the holidays, we supported the wishes of 284 students and provided gift cards to staff members and families in need at Perez Elementary School in Chicago. The giving efforts continued in our global communities with various initiatives: a coat drive in the UK; a ‘Movember’ best mustache contest to raise awareness for men’s health in Poland; and a donation to an Australian education charity which provided funds for STEM programs and supplies.

Tapping into Talent
Throughout the year, we participated in recruiting events in the US and Poland where we connected with diverse talent, shared career opportunities, and created a space for attendees to build their networks and community.

WomenTech Network Poland
In partnership with WomenTech Network, we welcomed over 50 talented women to our Kraków office for the chance to connect, share insights, and discuss how AI can foster innovation and creativity. We also livestreamed the session during WomenTech Network’s global conference so women from all over the world could tune in.

Rel-L.I.T. Panel
We partnered with Latinas in Tech Chicago to host a powerful panel and networking event on solving legal data challenges. Attendees had the chance to meet with members of Rel-L.I.T. and get insight into the many career paths in the legal data and tech industry.

Render ATL
We held an affinity group session for women in tech at Render ATL, a conference focused on attracting Black technical talent in the tech, design, and cyber fields. Our session, featuring members from BRel and RelWOW, gave attendees an in-depth look into a career at Relativity and allowed us to connect with 60+ talented women.
Fostering Inclusion in Our Growing Community
We’re working IDB into everything, starting with who we hire. We recognize that there are groups traditionally underrepresented in tech, so we approach hiring with a focus on reducing bias and evaluating candidates based on their skills and potential.
Our skills-based interviews ensure candidates are evaluated solely on their abilities, helping to reduce bias and promote access to opportunity.

That commitment means prioritizing progress over perfection — it means showing up with dedication and intention. As we continue this journey, we remain focused on creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and empowered. We look forward to sharing our progress along the way.
