Relativity Academic Partner program brings comprehensive hands-on e-discovery education to law and paralegal students kCura, developers of the e-discovery software Relativity, have announced the Relativity Academic Partner program to give law and paralegal students access to hands-on e-discovery training to help prepare them for the future of litigation. Details of the program were originally unveiled last week in front of more than 1,500 attendees at the annual e-discovery conference, Relativity Fest. As Relativity Academic Partners, schools such as the University of North Carolina School of Law and the Chicago-Kent College of Law prepare their students with legal technology skills by providing them with custom coursework, guest lectures from industry experts, and the same Relativity software used by more than 190 of the Am Law 200, as well as more than 120 litigation support providers across the globe. Everything in the program, from the software and technical infrastructure to instructional material, is provided at no cost to schools. Nearly 50 law schools and paralegal programs including North Carolina, Kent, Michigan State University College of Law, Georgetown University Paralegal Studies Program, University of California Los Angeles Paralegal Training Program, and University of Miami School of Law are already part of the Relativity Academic Partner program. Program instructors have access to additional resources, such as in-person training and the Relativity Customer Portal, where instructors can exchange ideas online. Instructors also benefit from access to kCura's 24/7/365 support team. "The launch of the Relativity Academic Partner program is an exciting moment for us in legal education," saidCinthia Motley, adjunct professor at Kent. "Not only does the program help my students gain software experience, but it allows me to connect with other professors to share best practices and curriculum ideas."
